Archaeological Projects
“Artifacts are the voice of the past.” – James Deetz (American archaeologist)
With deep enthusiasm for archaeology, I have participated in a wide range of projects across Greece, Cyprus, and Italy. Hands-on field experience has complemented and deepened my academic and theoretical knowledge, allowing me to gain insight into heritage management at significant archaeological sites. While these projects focus on uncovering the past, they employ modern, innovative methods such as digital documentation, GIS mapping, and interdisciplinary approaches, showing how contemporary techniques can illuminate ancient civilizations.
I have taken leadership and coordination roles, combining excavation work, team supervision and training, documentation and cataloging of finds, preparation of research reports and publications in multiple languages, and communication with the relevant departments of the Ministry of Culture. All these experiences have served as a bridge, helping me understand not only ancient civilizations but also contemporary cultural realities, fostering collaboration between international and local institutions and functioning as a form of cultural diplomacy.
